The team was created for the purpose of applying in the production the results of the technological researches carried out within the projects in which the Institute is employed.
The results of research on processing technologies for parts with complex configurations and reduced stiffness (rotors, stators, housings) are applied in production, aiming at obtaining cutting regimes that ensure the highest productivity in conditions of minimum tooling and workmanship.
The processed materials cover a very wide range, starting from aluminum alloys, continuing with construction, alloyed and high alloy construction steels and ending with titanium alloys.
There is also extensive experience in the field of high-speed sliding bearings made of YSn type anti-friction alloy deposited by the centrifugal casting process.
The software used for programming and simulating mechanical machining (CAM) is UNIGRAPHICS NX 4, the input data consisting of the solid model provided by research-design compartments.
The connection between the programming compartment and the machine tools is carried out via an internal data transfer network.
