Research Group - Advanced Technology Design
The group was created to apply in production the results of technological researches gathered during the Institute's projects.
Are applied in production the results of researches regarding manufacturing processes for complex shaped forms and low rigidity parts (rotor, stators, cases) in order to obtain special chip removal regimes for higher productivity with lower consumption of tools and manual labor.
Processed materials are of a wide variety, starting from aluminum alloys, alloyed and high alloyed construction steel types up to titanium alloys.
There is also large experience in manufacturing high speed sliding bearings made of YSn type anti-friction alloy coated through centrifugal casting.
The software used for programming and simultaneous mechanic processing (CAM) is UNIGRAPHICS NX 4, logged data being the solid model supplied by research-design compartments.
The connection between programming compartment and tool machines is made through data transfer internal network.
