The delegation was welcomed by Dr. Eng. Valentin Silivestru, President-General Director of COMOTI, who gave the Minister a general presentation of the institute, current projects and development prospects, as well as a tour of the infrastructure and the capabilities of the institute.

With a vast experience in the design, testing and development of aviation gas turbine applications in the energy field, COMOTI responded to the request of the National Navy to find solutions to improve the performance of the frigates.

During 2016-2020 COMOTI successfully implemented the SEALPHO project - "Breadboard of a Sealing Systems for a Phobos Sample Return Mission" which was financed by the European Space Agency (ESA) within the MREP-2 program "Mars Robotic Exploration Programme" ".
