COMOTI attended ILA Berlin 2024
June 10, 2024Today we celebrate 120 years since a defining moment in aviation history: the first self-powered takeoff achieved by Traian Vuia in Montesson, with a heavier-than-air aircraft.
In 1906, through courage, innovation, and perseverance, Vuia demonstrated that a heavier-than-air aircraft could take off using its own power, without external assistance — an achievement that opened new horizons for modern aviation. The aircraft designed by Traian Vuia was considered an “airplane-automobile,” an innovative concept for its time, whose wings could be folded, allowing the machine to be transformed into a vehicle usable like an automobile.
At COMOTI, we carry forward the spirit of pioneers, contributing through research and technology to the advancement of the aerospace field. We look to the past with respect and to the future with confidence, inspired by the vision of those who dared to fly first.
