Scientific Journal TURBO (Sci. J. Turbo) is an Open Access (OA) journal according to Budapest Open Access Initiative (2002), Bethesda statement on Open Access Publishing (2003) and Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in Science and Humanities (2003).

The journal is published biannual by Romanian Research and Development Institute for Gas Turbines – COMOTI.

The journal aims to publish papers on the following topics:

Gas turbine engines and aeronautical applications;
Gas turbines engines and industrial applications;
Thermodynamics;
Gas dynamics and computational methods;
Combustion, injection, spray and chemical pollutants;
Tribology, bearings and sealing;
Machine elements;
Gas turbine engines automatics;
Acoustics and vibrations;
Materials and technologies;
Wind turbines;
Environmental equipment;
Automatics;
UAVs – propulsion systems. Multirole drones.

Appearance: Since 2017 Scientific Journal TURBO is published only in electronic version.

Paper submission/publication

The Scientific Journal TURBO is published biannually.

Paper requirements:

Papers should be written in English;
There is no limit for the page number, but it is recommended that the articles should not have less than 4 pages;
Papers should be written and submitted in .doc or .docx format, following the Journal Template (Turbo - Authors guidelines);
Papers should be sent to:

All submitted papers are peer-reviewed. Regarding the reviewing process, all papers are reviewed by three experts in the field which will evaluate the paper regarding:

Clarity of presentation;
Originality;
Scientific content;
Engineering relevance;
Interest for the readers.

At reviewer’s recommendations, the paper will be:

Accepted for publication – the paper will be published without any other changes / corrections if at least three reviewers agree with;
Accepted with minor/major reviews – the paper will be published after the authors revise the paper according to reviewers’ suggestions and comments;
Rejected – the paper will not be published in case the reviewers write negative reports.

In all above cases the corresponding author will receive all the reviewers’ comments.

The authors have to declare that the papers they submit had not been previously published in any other publications or are under review in other publication when they are submitted in Scientific Journal TURBO and that the article and/or parts of it follow Copyright laws abided by Copyright Transfer Agreement and Statement of Plagiarism (TURBO_Copyright form). The form must be filled in, signed, scanned and sent after confirmation of paper acceptance.

The authors are responsible for the accuracy of the data presented in the paper.

The submission, publication and article processing are free of charge.
