Presentation of the Metrology Laboratory of INCDT - COMOTI

 

1.1.      Short history: The Metrology Laboratory has been operating since 1992, approved by BRML in 1996 and 1998, and certified in 2001 to perform metrological checks on unregulated measuring instruments from measuring length, temperature, pressure, mechanical vibration, frequency and speed range, electrical and magnetic.

1.2.      Staff structure: 6 persons, out of which:

  • 1 pers. with higher education, physicist – CS III;
  • 5 pers. with secondary education, metrology technicians;
    • Technical feature: reference standards, working standards , auxiliary devices and accessories - modern, performance benchmarks, most of them with calibration, storage and PC calibration software for calibration in the length, temperature, mechanical and absolute vibrations, frequency and speed, electrical and automatic quantities, standards that ensure traceability of measurement results to the International System of Units.
    • The activity of the Metrology Laboratory :consists of performing Calibration and Testing for:
  • equipment from laboratories şi test stands in the institute;
  • measuring and monitoring channels and automatic control and command systems turbochargers, turbochargers, electrocompressors, electric blowers, screw compressors, etc.,

in the areas of temperature, pressure, speed, mechanical vibration - absolute / relative, relative, electrical-automatic displacements.

Metrology Laboratory of INCDT - COMOTI, through its modern technical base, through the implementation of new calibration / testing methods / procedures - appropriate to new measurement and monitoring equipment and by the experience and knowledge gained in the field of calibration and equipment testing, has the scientific and technical competence to:

    • providing by calibration the metrological confirmation for the measuring and monitoring equipment specific to high speed rotary machines, increasingly used in regulated fields - turbine engines, cogeneration plants, turbo-compressors, air / gas compressors, electric blowers;
    • assurance by specific tests of technical compliance for measuring and monitoring equipment including automatic control and control systemspentru guaranteeing the correct and safe operation of the machine. 
    • making measurements, calibrations and tests for the institute's new R & D contracts and guaranteeing the accuracy and validity of the results obtained in the experiments performed;
